AES 305 - Exercise Physiology Students will learn the theory and application of human physiology as well as adaptations that occur during exercise and training. The design of safe and effective exercise programs for physical education, personal fitness, and the competitive athlete will be discussed and implemented. Emphasis is placed on bioenergetics as well as circulatory, respiratory, and neuromuscular responses and adaptations to the physical stress of exercise. The effects of environmental factors and ergogenic aids on athletic performance will be examined.
