NSG 630 - Acute Care Theory I


This is the first of two sequential theory courses in the adult-gerontology acute care nurse practitioner (AGACNP) concentration. This course is designed to develop theoretical and clinical competencies in the care of adults and older adults with acute, critical and/or complex chronic health conditions or injury commonly seen across the continuum of acute care delivery systems. It builds upon concepts and skills derived from prerequisite courses and emphasizes the utilization of critical thinking and evidence-based practice to support the diagnosis and management of these patients.

Prerequisites & Notes
This course mst be taken imultaneously with NSG 635 Acute Care Skills Lab I.
