The program is designed to provide the theoretical foundations and develop the practical skills required for effective school administration and leadership. This degree program leads to licensure by the New Hampshire Department of Education (NHED) and is based on the standards for licensure established by the NHED. Courses employ a variety of school and classroom clinical experiences. The licensure program requires a culminating clinical practice (internship) in a school setting under the supervision of a licensed school principal. The NHED requires candidates in this program to have completed at least 3 years as a teacher, instructional specialist, educational specialist or education administrator. Additionally, the NHED requires candidates provide passing scores on the Subject Area Testing assessment(s).
Upon completion of this program, you may be eligible for licensure in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, and U.S. Territories, the Department of Defense Schools, Alberta, British Columbia, and Ontario per the NASDTEC Interstate Agreement.

- 3 years of experience as a teacher, instructional specialist, educational specialist or education administrator.
