EXER 360 - Exercise Testing & Prescription


This course covers both theory and practice of the various testing procedures used in assessment of human health, physical education, fitness, and competitive human performance. Students will develop the knowledge and skills to perform exercise testing, analyze results, and prescribe safe and effective exercise plans. Protocols for pretest screening as well as methods for measuring blood pressure, oxygen consumption, energy expenditure, lactate metabolism, muscular strength, pulmonary function, body composition, and electrocardiogram assessments will be covered.
