HSCI 325 - Principles of Nutrition This course will introduce students to the principles of nutritional science and the factors that influence the nutritional status of a population. Students will learn basic concepts of human nutrition, examine the role of nutrition in relation to disease prevention and health promotion, and learn how to identify and critically evaluate sources of nutrition information. Issues related to food policy, sustainability, and food industry practices will also be addressed.
