CNSL 704 - Personality Assessment I This course provides an overview of and exposure to techniques of personality assessment. Discussion focuses on a variety of instruments used to test social-emotional functioning, including behaviorally based strategies (i.e., checklists, observations, interview), as well as projective and perceptive tests (i.e., drawings, sentence completions, TAT, TED, TEMAS RATC, and Rorschach). In addition to theoretical and psychometric aspects of personality assessment, students are required to administer, score, and interpret the tests covered in class (with the exception of the Rorschach). This course focuses on psychological report writing and utilizing assessment results to develop appropriate educational interventions (psychoeducational prescriptions) for school age children and adolescents.
