RELS 210 - Women in Christianity and Society This course considers the ways in which Christian traditions have treated women. Contemporary women’s writings comprise the majority of reading, but students will be exposed to historical sources, including the Bible and women’s writings from various times and places, for new ways of envisioning theological concepts. Students will examine their own experiences of gender and religion, discover how they might recover part of a largely hidden history of women in Christianity, and study the contemporary conversation between Christianity and feminism.
