EDUC 285 - Fundamentals of Math I (K-3) In this course students develop a deep understanding of the foundational concepts and skills in an integrated early childhood mathematics curriculum including numbers and operations; geometry and spatial sense, measurement, patterns and algebra. Students will demonstrate their knowledge of how young children make sense of early mathematics principles as they design developmentally appropriate instruction and assessment, foster a positive disposition towards mathematical processes and learning, and develop mathematical literacy.
Prerequisites & Notes Twenty-five hours of field experience are required.
