HIST 204 - Interactions: the West in the World II The course provides an overview of the important historical, political, economic, social, and cultural movements and events that tie Europe to the development of the rest of the globe from the late seventeenth century to the end of European hegemony in the late twentieth century. Based on a foundation in the rise of secularism in the enlightenment, the western ideological tradition, and in their development in the West, the response to these developments around the globe and the evolution of global relations in a post-colonial world will be analyzed.
Prerequisites & Notes HIST 203 Interactions: the West in the World I is not a prerequisite for HIST 204.
