SOWK 201 - Social Work Methods This course focuses on the development of skills and competencies in generalist social work practice with diverse populations. Emphasis is placed on an understanding of the change process and the centrality of the helping relationship in facilitating this process. Social work values and principles of ethical practice are an integral part of the learning process. A 15 hour field project in a social work setting (approved in advance by the instructor) is required of all students taking Social Work Methods.
