BUS 550 - Global Finance for Managers


This coursefocuses on financial practices and methods for developing the analytical skills needed to make sound financial decisions on a global scale. It provides a broad understanding of financial principles and techniques used to plan, analyze, control, and optimize business resources for businesses operating in a global environment. Emphasis is placed on the utilization of accounting and financial data of the multinational firm for the purpose of evaluation, measurement, and sound decision-making by managers. Topics such as: investment abroad, risks associated with foreign investment opportunities as well as the relationships between interest rates, foreign exchange, inflation rates and global firms’ corporate strategies will be covered.
