NSG 103 - Foundations of Pharmacology This course provides an introduction to the science of pharmacology with emphasis on the mechanisms of action, interactions, adverse effects, and nursing implications of each drug classification using a body systems approach. The course will include the effects of drug therapy across the lifespan, cultural considerations, the role and responsibility of the nurse to provide safe, effective administration of drug therapy within a legal/ethical framework as outlined by the nursing process. (ASN Course).
