NURS 516 - Advanced Health Assessment This course focuses on the development of advanced nursing practice skills through comprehensive health history interviewing, physical assessment, and the identification and interpretation of selected diagnostic tests. The comprehensive client database is gathered and interpreted through application and synthesis of knowledge of the biological and social sciences. Theoretical content related to primary care, health behavior, and the role of the nurse in advanced practice settings is presented. This course should be taken immediately prior to the student’s first practicum semester.
