ED 518 - Classroom Behavior Management

Provides students an understanding of the classroom as a community and individual behavior management techniques utilized to support the development of self-discipline and self-esteem for all students. The course provides students with a broad theoretical foundation of behavior management strategies that can be used to support individual and group management. It also gives an overview of proactive, supporting psychodynamic, and reactive strategies, including positive behavioral interventions and support (PBIS). The development of home-school collaboration is highlighted.

Prerequisites & Notes
Twenty-five field experience hours are required.
