The Counseling and School Psychology Programs are designed to prepare students for careers as certified or licensed practitioners employed in both clinical and educational settings. The emphasis of these programs is on training the student to become a highly effective, culturally competent professional who exhibits case conceptualization skills grounded in theory and intervention strategies that are purposeful and intentional. Student work is evaluated on an ongoing basis throughout the program both formally and informally. In order for students to successfully complete their program, they must show evidence of the acquisition of a theoretical knowledge base that translates into effective practice. In order to assess the acquisition of theory and professional skills, students are formally evaluated at degree candidacy, prior to the start of internship and prior to graduation. Degree candidacy requires a formal meeting with the Program Director.

Individuals interested in applying to one of the Counseling or School Psychology Programs are strongly encouraged to contact the Program Director to arrange an initial, informal meeting to discuss the details of the program.

The Counseling Programs include:

  • School Psychology

Master’s Level
